Tasting notes

Ripe peach fruit flavours and aromas mingle with those of creamy toasty oak. Well balanced with a natural acid freshness.

Production notes

The grapes were harvested from specially selected sites in Marlborough Gisbourne and Hawkes Bay. 50% of the wine was fermented at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks to retain the fresh fruit flavours followed by malolactic fermentation for a portion to soften the natural acidity. The remaining 50% was fermented and matured in American oak barriques to impart a light oak character and enhance complexity.

Food choice

Pair with fresh oysters (but avoid adding too much lemon juice).

Grape mix

100% Chardonnay
