They say that life is all about experiences - well we thought we should share with you our buying experience at Oddbins Calais today.
We had researched the web site to identify which wines we wanted to taste before buying and produced a list which we reviewed on the journey over. We also discussed what we liked about visiting Oddbins Calais and it quickly became obvious that we didn't view it just as a shopping trip or a day trip to France BUT a visit to our NEW FRIENDS who enjoy helping us buy.
We have brought several sets of friends with us in the past, including for the last 2 years, a group of 8/10 neighbours on our annual mega pre-Xmas buying trip in October (already organised for this year)
Today Philip looked after us admirably, supported by Laura after her break, and with the same amount of care and consideration shown on previous visits - so thank you team.
To end the day Chrissie had prepared pasta and bolognaise which we washed down with a bottle of Oddbins Own red - a great end to a lovely buying experience!!

Dave and myself visited your store in Calais last Saturday and were your first customers of the day. I would just like to thank the guy who was looking after us when we arrived, I didn't ask his name but should have done, he gave us a great customer experience.
The wind had been blowing hard which meant that your alarm was going off and a large screen advertising your red and white wine was blowing all over the place. He welcomed us to the store, made us a cup of tea/coffee, showed us where our pre-order was and talked to us about some of the wines that you had to taste and gave us some good tips on certain other items to buy, and in his spare time he was sorting out the blowing advertising feature.
